I didn’t think it’d take long. I set up my original blog on Blogger as something quick and dirty. I always knew I’d eventually move it to a hosted blog. Well, here I am

It was much easier to move than I thought it would be. The Wordpress import utility handled it beautifully, importing all posts, comments and graphics. I just needed to set up the tags, blogroll etc. Pretty painless.

I’m going to try and keep this blog fairly “clean”, i.e. not too many widgets or other clutter. I’m not sure how long I’ll keep it that way. We’ll see.

Anyone who previously visited when I was on Blogger will find their comments still here, so feel free to carry on the threads.

Some of the earlier posts here will make references to widgets and other stuff that might no longer be here. These were hangovers from my brief stay with Blogger, so please just ignore them.

I first started using this nickname when I was doing a lot of development work for Psion (remember them?) handheld devices. Even though I’ve long since stopped development for that platform, the name has stuck.

So, what do I do? I’m an IT Consultant, specialising in .Net development (Winforms and Web), database (mostly SQL Server, but a fair bit of MySQL) and CMS development (Wordpress, Movable Type, Joomla etc).

In my spare time (when I have any!), I enjoy photography, motorcycling (I currently own a 2006 Triumph Tiger), chess (catch me on Gameknot, username Psionmark) and Flight Simulation (some would say it’s an obsession).
