I’ve noticed over the past couple of days that the Performancing Ads Exchange ads have stopped displaying. As you can see from my slot on the right, the generic “Advertise Here” slot is showing, but none of the other five. I’ve checked a number of other sites in their Marketplace and all of the ones I’ve looked at seem to have the same issue.
I can’t see any kind of Status check on the site, which would be useful. I’ve contacted them to see if there’s any particular issue causing it and will report back.
Anyone else experiencing a similar problem?
Update: It looks like no ads are showing at all - not just the Exchange ads. I’ve just booked 2 of my own ads to show in my region on this site and neither of them are showing either.
Update 02/09/2008: Looks like the ads are at least partially back up. I’ve got 5 out of my 6 slots showing now.

I’ve been trying out Performancing Ads on a couple of my sites. One thing they point out as being a great feature is their Exchange system. The idea is that, when you show ads from their network, you get credits, which are then applied by showing your own ads on other sites.
The problem is, there are no stats whatsoever related to the Exchange. How many times have my ads been shown on other sites? Click-throughs?
In truth, I have absolutely no way of knowing whether it’s worth using the Exchange system at all.
Don’t get me wrong - I think Performancing is a great idea and I intend to stick with it - for a while at least. But, it would be nice to know a little something about how my Performancing Ads are performing in the Exchange!

Disclosure: The links in this post are affiliate links for Performancing Ads. That means that if you follow the links and decide to sign up, I might get some commission.
As you can see from my sidebar, I’m trying out Performancing Ads on this and a couple of other blogs.
The idea’s a simple one. You define an ad “region” for your blog or web site, deciding on the number of columns and rows for your ad space (or spaces). You then set a price for ads in those regions. Once you’ve defined your region, set a price and added the code to your site - either by Wordpress widget, or a PHP snippet - you’re site is added to the Marketplace where people can purchase ads on a weekly bases.
You get to keep 60% of the proceeds and Performancing get 40%.
When you’ve got spare ad slots, generic Performancing Ads are shown, or you can choose to fill them with your own ads (perhaps pointing to your other sites). There is also the option of joining the Exchange system. In this case, you gain credits when ads are shown. You upload a 125×125 banner ad which will then get shown on other participating sites when you have enough credits. What’s not clear is how many credits you need, nor how many you get for each impression.
You can sign up as a Publisher, an Advertiser, or both.
It’s all pretty simple and straightforward to set up. I’m going to go with it for a few weeks and see how it works out. If you’re interested, you can get an ad here on Psionmark for the low, low price of only $5 per week - you’d be mad not to! Just click the slot in the sidebar to get started.
