I’ve got a strange relationship with FriendFeed. I signed up a while ago (you can see my “feed” here) and every time I go back to it, I think to myself “this is really neat”, then I don’t visit it for a few weeks until I see it mentioned again on the Net somewhere.
It strikes me that the new BlogCatalog My Communities widget (see mine in the sidebar) is doing a very similar thing. So, which one is best?
The BlogCatalog offering means someone actually has to visit my site, whereas FriendFeed is more likely to be “found” by someone, due to its popularity. Mind you, I like the look of the BlogCatalog widget. It’s one of the few widgets I’ve left here on Psionmark for more than about 5 minutes. Having said that, it can look like the best widget in the world, but if nobody is seeing it…
I’ve just realised I’m actually going nowhere in particular with this post, other than to say I like both FriendFeed and the BlogCatalog My Communities widget.
So, there you go, I’ve said it
