Yes, it’s shameless plug time again. I’ve built a Flight Simulator specific Digg clone called Flight Siggulator (catchy, eh?). I just couldn’t help myself.

Go take a look, add loads of stories, tell all your mates, get T-shirts printed etc.

I’ve just returned from a much needed holiday with my family. I’ve been hard at work on FlightSimX in my spare time for the past 8 months and, to be honest, I was a little worried about leaving it for a week. I had this semi-dread that I’d come back to find all my readers had gone elsewhere, or that it’d be taken over by a hoard of aliens. I needn’t have worried. In fact, on the Saturday I was away, it received one of its highest page views! Maybe I should go away more often!

Since returning, I’ve been experimenting with AdSense on FlightSimX, taking a “less is more” approach. I felt the index was becoming too cluttered with ads, and have hence removed most of them and placed them on post pages. So far, click-through rates seem to be improving. I’ll report back once I’ve got a better idea of the trend.
