Anyone who knows me will know I’m something of a chess addict. You can find me regularly on GameKnot and RedHotPawn (I love that URL!) with the user name - not too surprisingly - Psionmark.

I’ve recently created a new chess site - The Chess Player - powered by PHPChess, and I’m looking for some testers to make sure it’s all running smoothly. I first started using this nickname when I was doing a lot of development work for Psion (remember them?) handheld devices. Even though I’ve long since stopped development for that platform, the name has stuck.

So, what do I do? I’m an IT Consultant, specialising in .Net development (Winforms and Web), database (mostly SQL Server, but a fair bit of MySQL) and CMS development (Wordpress, Movable Type, Joomla etc).

In my spare time (when I have any!), I enjoy photography, motorcycling (I currently own a 2006 Triumph Tiger), chess (catch me on Gameknot, username Psionmark) and Flight Simulation (some would say it’s an obsession).
